Build your own digital voltmeter  View

This article explains how to build your own digital voltmeter based on the INTERSIL CL7107 IC chip.  It provides great detail, schematics, pics, a user forum for the project (link at the bottom of the article) and even a couple schematics for a power supply.  By changing a resistor, you can vary the measurement range available.

All your base are belong to us  View

We've all heard it.  But what do you know about it really?  This wikipedia article explains it all.  View the article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_your_base_are_belong_to_us

As an added bonus, this flash video is a parody of the original set to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.  It's great.  Especially the air guitar solo.

Polaroid-o-nizer

As you might suspect, this site allows you to generate a polaroid-looking image from another image you specify.  There are some limitations on resolution and such, but still pretty novel.

The Etherkiller and its friends  View

Don't mess with the IT guys, they are a force not to be screwed with.

This site has a handful of nifty little gadgets where one end plugs into a computer (or network).  The other plugs into 110v electrical outlet.  :)

You can imagine the havoc this would wreak on any attached devices.  So I will say again...Don't mess with the IT guys, they are a force not to be screwed with.

DoubleTrust - It's like a sql join for google and yahoo  View

Similar to Yagoohoogle, DoubleTrust gives you search results from Yahoo and Google.  It is quite a bit smarter though.  It gives you the intersection of the two engines, as well as those "outside the join", or orphaned results.

The results are displayed in a very clean and compacted list.

This appears to be the sole work of grad student Ashish Gupta at Northwest University.  There is a blog on the topic as well.

Create your own printable graph paper  View

This site generates PDF's of various types of handy graph paper you can use for printing.  The types include plain ol lined and graph, multi-width, assymetric, hexagonal, dots, and more.

It's cool, because it actually generates the PDF's based on the specs you feed it for the various types.  You couldn't get better control unless you built it yourself.  So gets' to graphin.

World jump day...are you signed up  View

World jump day is a collaborative attempt to get 600 million people to jump at the same time.  Why you ask?  They believe that it would drive the planet into a new orbit.  Is that good?  Who's to say, but they think so.  They say it's "very likely to stop global warming, extend daytime hours, and create a more homogeneous climate".

At the time of this post, it's 64 weeks out, and they already have 121 million jumpers.  You can sign up now and get a reminder before it's time to jump.

Happy jumping!

New MSDN site - Coding4Fun  View

This new site is dedicated to the hobbyist developer.  They will have lots of resources that geeks like us can use.  Many of us (like me) are professional developers.  Unfortunately you don't always get to code the "cool and fun stuff" for your paycheck.  So, this should help.

There are several cool sections.
